Vestibular Rehabilitation is a therapy aimed at helping people manage dizziness, vertigo, motion sensitivity, balance and postural control issues that occur due to vestibular dysfunction.
Our therapist will conduct an assessment, starting with taking your history surrounding the symptoms you are experiencing. Followed by specific testing that may include gait and balance testing, sensorimotor testing, oculomotor testing, and tests related to specific vestibular pathologies for example the dix-hall pike, which is a test for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.
Based on the results of the assessment a personalized rehabilitation plan will be developed with the goal of reducing symptoms and helping to improve your function and quality of life. This may include exercises to improve gaze stability, enhance balance, reduce the occurrence of vertigo and promote sensory integration.
Whether you’re recovering from a vestibular system injury, experiencing vertigo, or facing challenges with balance, our Vestibular Rehabilitation services at Stride Physio and Performance offer a comprehensive and effective approach to help you regain function and confidence in your daily life.
