The 5 Most Common Questions asked at the front desk of STRIDE Physio & Performance!
As an office administrator, I get asked many questions daily. Without a doubt, these are the questions I am asked the most:
“Do I need a doctor referral in order to make an appointment with a physical therapist?”
No. At STRIDE, a referral is not required. Everyone is able to take advantage of the services we provide. Something to keep in mind: some private insurance companies do require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement of services. We encourage you to contact your private health insurance company to be sure.
“Some of the CrossFit classes and personal training sessions are outside of the regular clinic hours. What are my payment options?”
At STRIDE, we are happy to provide many convenient payment options:
- Drop by in person during clinic business hours with cash, cheque, credit and debit. Our business hours are: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 9am-5pm and Wed 12noon-8pm.
- Bring exact cash or cheque to your class/session. You can give this to your CrossFit and/or personal trainer.
- Call in a credit card to 306.778.7770.
- E-transfer payments to info@hityourstride.ca
“Can STRIDE direct bill to my private insurance company?”
Yes! STRIDE can definitely direct bill to many, but not all, private insurance companies. Let us know where you have coverage, and we will give you a form to fill out (in person or via email) and we can get you set up for direct billing! Lessen your out-of-pocket expenses and let us take care of the paperwork for you.
Very similar to the above question, but I often get asked…“Do I need to pay for the service or is it covered by Sask Health?”
Unfortunately, our services are not covered by Sask Health. STRIDE is a privately owned clinic and all services must be paid for at each appointment. We will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement or if your provider is on our list, we can direct bill this for you (see above question and answer regarding direct billing).
“I’ve seen my therapists for years. Why do I need to book an Initial Assessment if it’s been over 6 months since I’ve been in?”
The reason why we have clients book the initial assessment again after 6 months of not seeing them, is to ensure your file is up to date. Our bodies and circumstances change, so to ensure that we are providing you with the best and safest care possible, an initial assessment will definitely be beneficial to you and the therapist!
If you have any other questions that were not covered in this list, please do not hesitate to call or email me at the clinic anytime!
